Sustainability attracts talent

Pursuing innovations that support sustainability is not just another job for engineers — it is a key personal goal.

Many engineers recognize that their skills can help create a more sustainable world, and they want their actions to create a positive impact. Consider the global issue of climate change: 87% of engineers say that supporting climate change solutions is personally important, and 80% say they can have a meaningful impact in combatting climate change.

As a result of this commitment, more than 70% of engineers say they seek out jobs that support climate change solutions and expect their organizations to address climate change as part of the company culture. These issues are so important that 34% of engineers also say that they would leave their job if their organization did not provide opportunities to support sustainability initiatives.
