TE News: ESZH-Cap

Easy seal, zero halogen ESZH-Cap from TE Connectivity (TE) is the latest addition to the heat-shrinkable, dual-wall tubing portfolio, designed to provide environmental sealing of electrical stub splices used in automotive environments. ESZH Cap has been developed from QSZH tubing, a clear jacket with a black adhesive liner, closed at one end to provide effective sealing in a cap form.

The adhesive layer provides a tight seal around the splice, preventing any moisture from entering. Moisture can ultimately lead to corrosive problems and issues after installation and during operation. Alongside this, the adhesive layer performs effectively in environments with wide temperature ranges, highlighting its versatility within different applications.

ESZH-Caps can effectively be installed, in application, with an air-circulating oven, a belt heater or infrared heat processor, with these methods ensuring a high standard installation. After installation, the caps will ensure low profile mechanical protection against flexing, electrical insulation, as well as abrasion and cut through resistance.
