Nengquan (Nick) Liu currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer of TE Connectivity’s Application Tooling Business Unit. Previously at TE, he served as the Senior Director of Engineering for TE Sensors in Shenzhen, China and for China Automotive in Shanghai.
From 2007 to 2010, he held the position of Global Engineering Director overseeing global product development for Body Interiors and Exteriors Systems in Shanghai at SAIC Motor. Prior to this, Nick held various positions with Ford Motor Company, including Research & Development Engineer and Product Launch Leader for product development & management in Michigan, and Resident Engineer (Expat) for vehicle platform development in Hiroshima.
He has published more than 40 technical papers at SAE & others, holds over 10 patents and is certified as a Six Sigma LDFSS Black Belt.
Nick resides in Switzerland and holds a master’s degree in business administration from Eastern Michigan University, a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Jilin University (China), and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University.
