TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is offering its Tamper Evident Metalized Polyester as ideal labeling solution for applications that require protection against removal.

TE Connectivity’s Tamper Evident Metalized Polyester (MV) is thermal transfer printable, metalized and equipped with a permanent acrylic adhesive. It is designed with a tamper evident feature that leaves a “VOID” footprint when the label is removed. It is ideal for security applications such as rating plates, calibration equipment or serial number labels that require evidence when the equipment label has been tampered.

Tamper evident Metalized Polyester provides many advantages. First, it saves time by quickly showing visually if a product has been tampered. Secondly, its abrasion resistance makes printing (text and graphics) legible for 100 revolutions of CS-10 wheels with 500-gram load (Taber-Abraser Model 5130) and the print remains legible after repeated rub testing as per AS-81531. Lastly, TE’s Metalized Polyester label is UL recognized; UL969, PGJI2 MH17292. Regarding temperature, the ideal service temperature of the MV label is from -40°C to 150°C (-40°F to 302°F). Minimum application temperature is 10°C (50°F).

Metalized Polyester labels are available in several widths from 6.4mm to 76.2mm (0.25” to 3.0”) with heights from 6.4mm up to 50.8mm (0.25” to 2.0”). MV is supplied die-cut, in roll format and comes in metalized silver as the standard color. All MV labels work seamlessly with TE Connectivity’s range of thermal transfer printers, ribbon and software.
