TE News: TE Connectivity Earns Cummins Category Partner Award

BERWYN, Pa. – July 25, 2017 – TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, today announced that it received the Category Partner award from Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI) for superior service, quality and value. TE was recognized specifically for its high-performance under-valve cover harness, or injector head harness, designed for harsh conditions.

Launched in 2016, the Cummins Category Partner award recognizes overall supplier performance and commitment to deliver value. Only about eight percent of current Cummins suppliers are named in the Category Partner List (CPL), which is critical for future collaboration and growth.

TE’s harness solution includes Raychem wire to safely deliver power to fuel injectors as well as other TE products that can endure high heat, oil and vibration. The harness is used in Cummins’ 12- and 15-liter heavy duty diesel and natural gas engines for on-highway vehicles in North America.
