Surface Mount Resistors
A surface mount resistor is a tiny rectangular ceramic body with silver conductive edges on either end. They provide the same functionality as the more traditional axially leaded resistors but has a lower power dissipation capacity and oftentimes a lower stray inductance and capacity.
Through-Hole Resistors
A through-hole resistor is a fixed resistor that has long, pliable leads that can be stuck into a breadboard or hand- or wave-soldered into a printed circuit board. A through-hole resistor is used to reduce the flow of electrical current within a circuit. It’s commonly composed of carbon film, metal film, metal oxide film, thick film, or wirewound.
Chassis Mount Resistors
A chassis mount resistor is designed to promote heat loss and cooling. This resistor is manufactured using wirewound resistor technology and features a ceramic core that is molded into an extruded aluminum chassis mount housing.

MUX cable termination maintains constant positive pressure inside oil-filled connector cavity. Advanced conductor booting technology helps assure functionality even when water-flooded. MUX cable termination maintains constant positive pressure inside oil-filled chambers. Advanced conductor booting technology helps assure functionality even if water-flooded. Armor Termination Assembly (ATA)
ATA allows contra-helical armor to be terminated a distance away from the end electrical connection of a MUX umbilical cable. Manageable cable handling; emergency breakaway point preserves SEM integrity. Dual-cone technology helps assure holding strengths exceeding 75% of cable breaking strength.
SEACON Breakaway Unit
The Breakaway unit provides a means of reducing the damage caused when extreme MUX cable tension breaks a termination. The unit is designed to anchor an Armor Termination Unit to a clevis mount at the Subsea end of a riser or control system framework. The breakaway concept is based on shear pin technology.
