Overview

TE Connectivity’s platform speed sensors are contactless sensors that measure gear input or output speed of a transmission gear wheel. The technology is based on a Hall/ GMR with an integrated magnet to detect speed and direction of a ferromagnetic gear wheel. There are different length and connector shapes available. To fulfill current market requirements on functional safety  these sensors are qualified up to ASIL B with the newest IC generations. Our platform sensors are designed for harsh automotive and commercial vehicle environments, such as powertrain applications with high temperature, vibration, shock, and sealing requirements.
