Thermistor Probes

NTC thermistor probes are available in an assortment of configurations for diverse applications. In applications where thermally conductive pipe materials are used, clip-on thermistors are simple to install without disturbing liquids inside the pipe. Where direct immersion into the fluid stream is required, threaded probes are used for accurate temperature measurement. Flag terminal probes are available for point temperature sensing where a threaded stud is available.

Thermistors refer to a family of sensors that utilize thermally active resistors for sensing temperatures. NTC designations identify the effect temperature has on the resistance value in this class of sensor probe. NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistors exhibit decreased resistance with increased temperature.These semiconductor sensors are highly sensitive, offering precise temperature measurements in limited temperature ranges. Their compact size and fast response make them useful for applications like automotive systems, medical devices, and HVAC appliances. They are virtually immune to inaccuracies caused by resistance in wire leads.

ESA Space Qualified Probes

These surface mount temperature probes are suited for various applications in space environments, including traditional and low earth orbit (LEO) satellites. This type of NTC probe offers a wide temperature range, excellent heat transfer, various wire lengths and insulation types to deliver highly reliable performance under extreme conditions.

Disposable Thermistor Probes

Disposable NTC probes are often used for monitoring the body temperature of medical patients. Low cost, high accuracy skin probes are ideal for this application. Disposable probes with plastic over molding can be used for medical catheters, body temperature monitoring and other applications to avoid direct exposure to probe materials. Both cost-effective probes provide excellent value.

Plug-In NTC Probes

Designed for fast, accurate temperature monitoring, the plug-in NTC probe provides high voltage isolation up to 4000VAC, and insulation resistance that is ideal for applications including electric vehicle systems, generators, and high voltage motors.
