Regulatory Framework for Safety Data Sheets
The vast majority of TE products are Articles; the regulatory framework is outlined below By definition, this means they are not classified as dangerous products and that there is also no intended release of dangerous substances during normal conditions of use. The regulations do not require Safety Data Sheets for Articles. Although most of our products are Articles and do not require a Safety Data Sheet, you can find specific product environmental compliance information in our TE Statements of Compliance (SoC) and/or Material Declarations (if available). Our REACH obligation, as defined by Article 33 of Regulation EC No 1907/2006, to communicate REACH Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC), is fulfilled by our Article Safe Usage Statements included on our SoCs. The Article Safe Usage Statements are standardized phrases associated with the SVHC, providing advice about the correct handling of the product. Where applicable, order confirmations and packaging slips contain links to the website where this information can be found.
