TE Connectivity, a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is launching the Dynamic D-1000 Slim wire-to-wire connector, which is ideal for narrow spaces in small industrial equipment and machinery applications. Its highly reliable keying and locking feature reduces unexpected unmating and lever breakage in narrow spaces.
“Our customers have had challenges with current products on the market that present a high risk for unexpected unmating and mis-mating — especially in applications with narrow spaces like robot arms,” says Tetsuro Ishida, product manager at TE Connectivity. “They also experience difficulty in the wire crimping process, but we’re confident our Dynamic D-1000 Slim can solve all of these issues for them.”
Improved productivity and installation
The D-1000 Slim is 80% smaller than its predecessor, with a low risk of interference. The smaller size of the new connector increases the connectivity per used space, increasing productivity and performance. Additionally, with TE’s push-pull technology, customers can audibly hear when the connector is properly locked, increasing reliability in all industrial applications. This, paired with the easy crimping process, streamlines overall installation — empowering customers to make the most of manufacturing time.
The Dynamic D-1000 Slim wire-to-wire connector is ideal for applications in robotics (including small industrial, collaborative and SCALA applications), automatic-guided vehicles, servo motors and sensors. As manufacturers need to comply with smaller applications, using reliable connectors that are slim enough helps them keep up with industry miniaturization demands without sacrificing quality or reliability.
The D-1000 Slim connectors demonstrate equally powerful performance as their larger counterparts, as they conform to UL1977/CSA C22.2 No. 182.3 requirements and have a current rating of 4.5A with a voltage rating of 250V.
