Our SMP RF connectors are highly shielded miniature plug-in coaxial connectors for applications up to 40 GHz. SMP (sub miniature push-on) have push-on or snap-on mating styles, making for easy installation. SMP connectors are typically made in stainless steel, beryllium copper, and PTFE materials, which offer excellent durability and reliability. These are designed to deliver high-performance and reliable connections between coaxial cables and equipment such as antennas, amplifiers, and filters. TE SMP connectors have a small size and low profile and are significantly smaller than other high frequency connectors like SMA connectors. The small size makes these an option for space constrained applications. SMP connectors are designed to support both radial and blind mating with axial misalignment and can be used in a board-to-board system using a floating bullet. These are made in a variety of formats, including straight and right-angle connectors, and bulkhead and panel mount connectors. SMP connectors are available in three different detent systems: full, limited, and smooth bore. SMP connectors are used in high-performance test applications and are commonly used in miniaturized high frequency coaxial modules and high data rate applications like antennas, broadband, test and measurement, military, and aerospace. These are also widely used to facilitate dense packaging in RF/microwave applications.
