Does TE offer cable assemblies for rear-seat entertainment systems?
TE offers high-speed data (HSD) cable assemblies for displays, head units, rear seat infotainment and rear view camera systems, as well as low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) cable assemblies for in-car display units.

How much voltage can TE’s cylinder head wiring withstand?
TE´s solution in cylinder head wiring has a dependence of current, voltage, temperature and oil. Important is the specification, made by the engine designer, for the application. TE develops cylinder head assemblies designed to withstand a highly dynamic temperature range and substantial vibration load by the engine. The cable assemblies have proven themselves in a variety of engines in truck, as well in passenger cars applications under harsh environment applications. TE can advise and design what the best solution is.

What applications are TE’s cable assemblies used with and what product features are available?
TE provides many discrete cable assemblies utilizing proven components. These cable assemblies are designed to suit the customer and application, all terminated with in-house application tooling available in high and low volume production. Applications include head light leveling, rear window heating, seat, mirror, door and gear box. product features include, TE’s contact systems like MQS, Junior Power Timer, MULTILOCK, MTA, AMP DUOPLUG. Features are also terminated with in-house application tooling and assemblies available in high and low volumes, including customer specific design.


What applications and product features are available for overmolded wiring projects?
TE’s overmolding competency provides a gas tight product ensuring high durability against the effects of vibration, temperature and moisture. Applications include throttle value body and fuel tank. Product features include Macromelt for gas tightness, keeping durability of high vibration, and temperature overmolded sealing.
