Our global product offering coupled with early design development and technical support for complete product and process, allow us to provide a cost effective and reliable copper cable assembly for multiple vehicle applications. Typical application areas include seats, mirrors, doors, gear boxes, steering wheels, headlamps, power distributions, sensor harnessing, HVAC cable assemblies, over-molded cable assemblies and Xenon-Halogen lighting cable assemblies.

Our Squib cable solutions combine our interconnection experience and design capabilities to support your next vehicle safety restraint system. We provide a wide range of Squib cable assemblies from 11 mm and universal interfaces to a complete portfolio of AKII products (2 and 3 ways, 90º and 180º wire exit), protected against electromagnetic interference (EMI) with a ferrite, and with crimping technology. We support fully automated manufacturing for pigtail production or semi-automated manufacturing for complete airbag module cable assemblies to ensure high reliability in this safety critical application.

We provide RF and coaxial cable assemblies for GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications), GPS (Global Positioning Systems), tire pressure sensor, door locking and radio applications. We offer high speed data (HSD) cable assemblies for displays, head units, rear seat infotainment and rear view camera systems and also offer low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) cable assemblies for in-car display units.

With more than 50 years of experience in high voltage cable assembly design and manufacturing, TE is a leader in next-generation transportation technologies and products for hybrid and electric vehicles. Hybrid and electric vehicles have electrical systems with voltage levels between 300–800 volts and currents from 200–1000 amps which require high power cable assemblies with special shielded cables, and connectors. Our cable assembly process includes cable preparation up to the crimping processes and the electrical testing. TE offers a production cell based in semi-automatic processes to support the high requirements in hybrid and electric vehicle applications.

We develop cylinder head wiring for heavy duty diesel engines with cable channels and pass-through connectors. Cylinder head wiring assemblies are designed to withstand a highly dynamic temperature range and substantial vibration load by the engine. Our cable assemblies have proven themselves in a variety of engines in truck applications under harsh environment applications.

Planar and discrete ribbon cable products are utilized in conjunction with our standard contact technology to enable the production of a low cost flexible cable assembly. Typical vehicle application areas include air conditioning, steering wheel, instrument cluster, lighting and radio.
