Manage Wires with Durable Cable Harnessing Solutions

Our portfolio of wire management and wire protection products includes cable harnessing products designed for harsh environments. We manufacture heat-shrinkable tubing and heat shrinkable molded parts as well as backshells, interconnect devices, and wire adhesives and sealants.

What is wire management? Wire management is the use of specialized tools and equipment to control wire direction or wire organization. Also known as cable management, wire management is used in electrical systems to protect wire functionality. It both supports and manages cables during installation, streamlining subsequent maintenance or changes to the wire system. Wire management is used for various reasons, including protecting wires from environmental hazards, simplifying the navigation of electrical systems, and separating wires by function or intended location by using a cable organizer. Ultimately, wire management tools extend the life of electrical systems by protecting the wires and making it easier for the user to find specific cables.

What is wire protection? Wire protection is the act of safeguarding electrical wires and cables from damage, wear, and environmental factors. Wire protection solutions protect wires from abrasion, heat, moisture, chemicals, physical impact, as well as nuclear and biological factors. These solutions are essential for maintaining the safety of wires from hazards like electrical shorts, fires, or equipment malfunctions. Wire protection ensures the reliability and longevity of electrical systems, data integrity, and cable identification. It can also provide cable management and identification. Ultimately, wire protection solutions help minimize downtime, lower maintenance costs, and address safety and effectiveness of electrical installations.

We offer a diverse portfolio of wire management and wire protection products, such as heat shrink tubing and heat shrinkable molded shapes and boots. These products are designed to provide sealing, protection, strain relief, and containment for wires and cables to help maintain integrity and performance in harsh environments. Cable braids are a type of shielding that are most often used to shield electronic and telecommunication devices from EMI and RFI. These help strengthen the flex life of cable and its flexible mechanical strength. These have fine metallic strands, most commonly tin copper or sliver-plated copper, that are tightly woven into a cable formation. Tin- and nickel-plated metal braids are also available as separate components which can be used for EMI shielding on cable bundles, and which can be terminated to TE’s connector backshells using a variety of termination solutions. Light-weight solutions are also available.
