AMPSEAL crimp contacts accept 16 to 24 AWG or 1.5 to 0.20 mm² wire.

Socket Crimp Contacts

AMPSEAL

AMPSEAL is a series of contact systems commonly used for electrical applications for industrial, commercial, and off-road vehicles.

 

The AMPSEAL contacts are made of copper alloy and are available in a tin-plated version for a maximum current of 8 amp and in a gold-plated version for a max current of 17 amps. They are contacts are three beamed, lanceless stamped, and formed which helps prevent the contacts from getting tangled or damaged during assembly.

 

These crimp contacts are easy to install with a hand-tool crimper and proper crimping can be verified visually and using a measuring tool.

Performance Specifications

Durability: TE spec 109-27. Mate and unmate specimens for 10 cycles at a maximum rate of 600 cycles per hour. See note

 

Current Rating: Up to 17 amps gold, up to 8 amps tin, consult TE product document 108-1329.

 

Contact Retention:TE spec 109-30. Apply an axial load of 115 N to contacts in the axial direction with wedge lock in locked. Contacts shall not dislodge.
