Our connectors for flat flexible cable (FFC) include a wide variety of high density board-to-board, wire-to-board, and wire-to-wire connectors designed for automated assembly. Pin and receptacle housings on .100 [2.54] centerline contact spacing and receptacle housings on .050 [1.27] centerline contact spacing use PCB area efficiently. Receptacle housings not only mate with the pin housings, but also with an array of PC board headers from other TE connector lines, including AMPMODU MTE, AMPMODU .0252 [0.642], AMPMODU System 50, and AMP-LATCH product families.

Multiple-crimp design is featured on all .050 [1.27] and .100 [2.54] centerline FFC contacts. Four crimping tines are used on the cable insulation and conductor, for optimum electrical and mechanical reliability. Supplied in strip form on reels for sequential termination.
FFC housings are loaded with the prepared FFC cable assembly before the assembly is mated with a board side header (in wire-to-board solutions), or another FFC cable assembly (in wire-to-wire solutions). Housings are available in standard or slimline, single or dual row style, with or without latching, and with or without mounting ears.
