RJ45 connectors are specifically designed to terminate Ethernet cables and connect into computers, routers, LANs, and other types of data communications equipment. RJ45s (a type of registered jack interconnect) are a popular type of twisted-pair connector engineered with eight positions and eight contacts (8P8C).
