Small form-factor pluggable (SFP) connectors
Our broad SFP portfolio of small form-factor pluggable (SFP) connectors can provide comprehensive and customizable solutions to address your I/O interconnects. The SFP portfolio connectors is designed to transfer data at speeds of up to 28G NRZ and 56G PAM-4. Choose from SFP-DD, SFP28 & SFP56, SFP+, and SFP products, depending on your system architecture, e.g. PCB space, speed, channel and port density requirements. Each of our SFP connectors features surface-mount technology (SMT) connectors and cages in multiple configurations. With our innovative thermal bridge technology, SFP products can help dissipate heat and improve system performance, while requiring less power to operate the overall system.
NEW
Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) 112G 1x SMT Receptacle Connector
Our new SFP112G SMT receptacle connectors can address next-generation data center needs by increasing density in an existing SFP form factor to reach speeds up to 112 Gbps. We are industry leaders within this space being one of the first to market to provide our customers enhanced signal quality with innovative thermal bridge technology designed for 112 Gbps PAM-4 protocols.

TE Connectivity’s (TE) SFP 112 interconnect solutions are currently one of the fastest single-channel I/O connectors on the market today, transferring data rate of 56Gbps NRZ and 112 Gbps PAM-4. Through a design that is backward-compatible to SFP/SFP+/zSFP+ products, the interconnect is hot swappable with existing SFP+ connectors for fast system upgrades of 56-112 Gbps. Our new SFP 112G connector can adopt our existing zSFP+ cages with customized designs to meet your needs and light pipes providing superior thermal and signal integrity performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
SFP Product Portfolio
Q: Is the footprint for TE’s SFP products compatible with other suppliers' products?
A: It depends. In general, all single port SFP cages are designed to an industry standard. The ganged SFP versions are not compatible with all other sources. TE and Molex are providing drop-in replacement zSFP+ products to the market, but other SFP28 solutions may not be compatible. Please check with the local TE representative for the answer on your exact part or application.
Q: Are the SFP, SFP+ and zSFP+ products backward compatible?
A: Yes, in most cases the connector and cable assembly are all backward compatible – an SFP+ connector is a direct replacement for a SFP connector to ensure simple upgrade to customer systems. As these are standard products, the cable assembly will also be compatible between the systems – an SFP copper cable assembly can be inserted to a SFP+ cage and mate with a SFP+ connector on the board.
