RVDT/RVIT Position Sensors
RVDT (Rotary Variable Differential Transformer) and RVIT (Rotary Variable Inductive Transducer) sensors feature precision ball bearings and non-contact inductive magnetic coupling for extremely long cycle life and virtually infinite resolution. Various off-the-shelf and custom packaging options are available for the most demanding application requirements. Our AC operated RVDTs are compatible with our full line of signal conditioners, panel displays and mini-controllers.
Product Features
- AC operated RVDTs measure rotary position up to ±60 degrees

Featured Application
RVDT Sensor & RVIT Sensor
-
AC RVDT
The R30A RVDT (Rotary Variable Differential Transformer), an angular position sensor is known for its proprietary noncontact design, resulting in significantly enhanced long-term reliability compared to conventional rotary devices like synchros, resolvers, and potentiometers.
-
DC RVDT
The R30D RVDT (Rotary Variable Differential Transformer) is an exceptional DC-operated rotary position transducer featuring a non-contact design. Its integrated signal conditioning allows seamless operation from a bipolar ±15 VDC power supply while delivering a high-level DC output proportional to the device's full angular sensing range.
-
DC RVIT
The R120LC RVIT (Rotary Variable Inductance Transducer), an economical and DC-operated non-contact angular position sensor. This advanced sensor offers a seamless 0.5 to 4.5VDC output, maintaining a ratio metric relationship with the supply voltage and proportionally reflecting the angular position within its 120-degree sensing range.
