High Voltage Link Box for Coaxial Cables

Our Raychem HVLB-COAX High Voltage Link Box for Coaxial Cables provides a dry and sealed environment for high voltage cable sheath earthing connections that is key to reliable cross bonding. It is made of high-quality stainless steel and enables easy access to the cable sheath for inspections thanks to the reliable gasket-lid-system, which is tight against water and dust. The lid system is equipped with a proof device for padlocks to prevent unauthorized access. The coaxial cable link boxes offer a homogeneous distance between the electrical path and trustworthy electrical connections. It has a specially developed short-circuit-yoke enabling it to withstand impulse-voltage up to 65 kV and short-circuit up to 63 kA/1 s. For safety in an unexpected case, the high voltage link boxes are tested to absorb the power of an internal arc with 25 kA for 0,1 sec.

They are three different High Voltage Link Box for Coaxial Cables with a different number of entries to bond the cable sheath to the ground. The HVLB-COAX-SLV is for situations where the cable sheath is earthed via a Sheath Voltage Limiter (SVL). The high voltage link box HVLB-COAX-GND is used to earth the cable sheath direct to the ground without a Sheath Voltage Limiter. And the HVLB-COAX-CRO high voltage link box is for situations where the cable sheaths are cross bonded.
