Pre-Insulated, LIF Locking Receptacles
Pre-insulated POD-LOK terminals combine Positive Lock receptacles and flame-resistant housings to deliver reliable, ergonomic connections with the potential for applied cost savings. The low insertion force (LIF) receptacle is designed with a secure locking feature that prevents accidental disconnection but permits intentional extraction. The integrated housing acts both as an electrical insulator and a disconnection tool, whereby pulling back on the housing will disengage the receptacle locking mechanism. Using an automated applicator, the POD-LOK receptacle is terminated and insulated in a single stroke, eliminating secondary insulation steps and allowing for lower applied cost. Applications include appliances and HVAC systems.
