CERTI-CRIMP II Straight Action Hand Tools (SAHT) are designed to crimp a variety of loose piece contacts. These tools feature a fixed die, movable die, locator/wire stop and an innovative ratchet. The ratchet confirms full crimping of the contact and, once engaged, will not release until the dies have been fully closed. This enables excellent electrical and tensile performance of the crimped contact. Most CCII tools have a four-position insulation adjustment knob to regulate the crimp height of the contact insulation barrel. The locator/wire stop positions the contact and limits the insertion of the stripped wire into the contact. Some tools include a flip locator, which precisely locates the contacts into the crimp nest when crimping small contacts. A LightKnack portable magnetic LED light is included with each purchase, which affixes to any magnetic surface.

Flip Locator Hand Tool
Small terminal handling is a particular challenge as terminals continue to miniaturize. This creates an enormous problem handling the terminal and locating it properly into a hand tool’s die set. To help with the problem, the CERTI-CRIMP II SAHT hand tool features a “flip locator.” The TE flip locator system allows the operator to “flip” the locator approximately 150 degrees, which provides exact placement of small terminals. After loading, the locator is “flipped” back into position and the terminal is properly located automatically. Now, with the terminal held in place, the operator can concentrate on proper wire placement and complete the termination process.
