Ensure Quality and Performance
T-HEAD tools are designed to crimp a variety of crimp 22 to 14 AWG PIDG, PLASTI-GRIP and STRATOTHERM contacts and feature a fixed die (crimper), movable die (anvil), locator/wire stop and a ratchet. All tools feature a four-position adjustment knob to regulate the crimp height of the contact insulation barrel and a locator/wire stop positions the contact, limiting the insertion of the stripped wire into the contact. A CERTI-CRIMP ratchet enables full crimping of the contact—when engaged the ratchet will not release until the dies have fully closed, ensuring excellent electrical and tensile performance of the contact. A quick take-up handle is used for holding the contact in place while inserting the stripped wire and color-coded nest markings help match contact insulation sleeves.
