Street Lighting Receptacle with ANSI/NEMA Interface
Our LUMAWISE Endurance N dimming receptacles provide an electrical and mechanical interconnection between an ANSI C136-based network lighting control and luminaire. Engineered for outdoor commercial and utility lighting the dimming receptacle is available with 3 power contacts (C136.10 compliant) and 2 or 4 signal contacts (C136.41 compliant) providing for DALI or 0-10V dimming and other auxiliary functionality. In applications where rotation of the lighting control to North is desired the LUMAWISE Endurance N family of receptacles offers two rotatable solutions which allow rotation up to 355 degrees.
Features and Benefits
Street lighting receptacles
- Robust twist lock contacts for a reliable power interconnect.
- Available with two or four dimming contacts to support one or two channel dimming protocols.
- Accepts ANSI standard shorting caps, photocells and other controls providing a C136 compliant connection to the luminaire.
- Provides IP66 seal rating to the luminaire when mated with Endurance N control bases.
- Rotatable versions rotate up to 355 degrees.
- Receptacles come pre-terminated with wire leads for ease of integration into new or existing light fixtures.
- Available with 105° or 150° C rated wire insulation for varying temperature rated luminaires.
LUMAWISE Endurance N Poke-In dimming Receptacles
LUMAWISE Endurance N poke-in is the next generation of ANSI-type streetlight dimming receptacle. The flying leads on a standard ANSI dimming receptacle are a must in markets that use drivers with flying leads for the rest of the world, where terminal blocks are used. LUMAWISE Endurance N poke-in will help simplify a manufacturer’s supply chain and create manufacturing efficiencies. LUMAWISE Endurance N poke-in will be the only part number you will need for your whole luminaire portfolio. Operators will no longer have to fight with unwrapping and routing wires. Along with sustainability gains from being able to use wiring harnesses with the correct length wires and not having to terminate the unused positions.
Key Features
- Improved ingress protection from internal blind mounting features
- All fixings are done from inside the luminaire. This means an operator doesn’t need to flip heavy cast luminaires.
- Reduced waste as unused positions 6 and 7 don’t need to be cut and terminated. While still being upgradable in the future
- Directly wire from the receptacle to the driver. No interstitial cabling is required
- Creates manufacturing efficiencies that help improve the profitability of a luminaire.
LUMAWISE Endurance N+ Covers
LUMAWISE Endurance N+ network lighting control accessories include an ANSI C136-compliant base assembly with an integral seal gasket. These new covers include a variety of two sizes, 58.6mm and 117.0mm in light gray, smoke gray, and clear. The base assembly with cover provides an IP66-rated control enclosure that protects from outdoor harsh environments, including rain, snow, and salt spray. The covers complete the enclosure.
Key Features
• ANSI C136.10/C136.41 compliant
• Achieve long term reliability using TE’s power and signal interface
• Translucent covers allow transmission of daylight to the light-sensing device
• Achieve protection against dust and heavy jet spray with an IP66 rated solution
• Meets the flammability rating with a UL 94 5-VA rated cover
• Incorporating a vent into the base assembly enables increased life expectancy of the electronics inside the enclosure

Making Cities Smarter: Hybrid Solutions for LED Street Lighting Systems
Since much of the world is using luminaires designed to ANSI C136 Standards, backward compatibility is important when updating light fixtures. However, Zhaga-D4i dual-node architecture is destined to become the backbone of smart city infrastructure. Our LUMAWISE Endurance products may be the key to implementing a hybrid solution.
Photocontrols for Automating Outdoor Lighting Systems
Today's outdoor lighting systems are increasingly designed for connected solutions with smart cities in mind. These systems typically involve integrating wireless communication with LED lights and dimming controls. To define these advances, engineers have had to update standards around a grand vision for the future state of automated lighting. Informed by our 50 years of experience designing robust controls for lighting systems in communities around the world, we have developed the LUMAWISE ALR photocontrol to automate luminaire operation for a wide variety of on/off applications.
