TE has developed an enhanced, more sustainable 1.2mm sealed locking lance connector solution designed for harsh automotive environments. The newly re-engineered MCON 1.2 NextGen and NextGen Plus connector series offers an approximate 20% reduction in CO2 emissions due to its design, with the potential for an additional 40% decrease when using bio-mass balanced resins—all without sacrificing functionality. The MCON 1.2 NextGen series also boasts an improved CPA design, enhanced vibration performance, and is fully backward compatible with the standard MCON and Gen2 series, maintaining the same interface. It has been validated to meet the stringent LV214 and USCAR2 standards, ensuring reliability in tough automotive environments.
