Controlling LED Lighting with Analog and Digital Photocells
TE Connectivity's (TE) ALR series street lighting photocells are ANSI C136.10 or Zhaga Book 18 compliant photo controls. They offer an economical and reliable means of controlling lighting systems from dusk to dawn, whether simple on or off or with digital dimming controls. These products are engineered to enhance lighting system performance and save energy.

ALR 11000 ZHAGA Digital Photocell
The ALR 11000 photocell is a simple on/off photocell that can also dim the light source during preset dark periods, which helps reduce energy consumption and utility spending. The ALR 11000 photocell will fit into the Zhaga-D4i ecosystem, the new standard in smart cities. It can work as a standalone control device or with a Zhaga-D4i motion sensor. The device monitors ambient light levels to switch the driver’s output on, off, and dim using the D4i protocol.

LUMAWISE ALR 7000 Series
LUMAWISE ALR 7000 series photocontrol provides a utility grade, high performance, multi-volt control for demanding roadway, street, and area lighting applications. TE’s LUMAWISE 7000 series photocontrol design surpasses 20,000 On/Off operation cycles per the ANSI C136.10 standard, providing an expected life range between 8 to 10 years.
LUMAWISE ALR 8000 Series
LUMAWISE ALR 8000 Series Photocontrol provides durable, ultra-high performance, multi-voltage control specially designed for twenty-year operation in demanding roadway, street, and area LED lighting applications. LUMAWISE 8000 Series photocontrol design has eliminated electrolytic capacitors, resulting in a genuinely long-life control. The 8000 Series design using a 30 AMP rated 120 VAC relay helps to ensure that our control will surpass 20,000 On/Off operation cycles per ANSI C136.10.
LUMAWISE ALR AA Series
LUMAWISE ALR AA 2000EL is an electronic version of TE’s popular AA series button photocell. The button cell, wired in design, is a photocontrol solution for multiple luminaire form factors. The compact form is designed to be internally hardwired in the luminaire. The polycarbonate lens gives a discrete appearance as well as a rugged construction.
