Erin serves as the VP Engineering and CTO, Sensors Business Unit of TE Connectivity, leading a global team to deliver differentiated new products across a diversified set of sensing technologies and serving key customer needs in multiple industry verticals. She joined TE Sensors in July 2021 and has been with TE for over 10 years.
Previously, Erin was VP and CTO for the Data and Devices Business Unit of TE Connectivity, developing products targeting next generation connectivity for applications such as cloud computing, 5G wireless, and the Internet of Things. She previously led the development of TE’s Coolbit active optics platform as Director of Optics Engineering, delivering first to market innovations based on embedded optics and optical backplanes.
Prior to TE, Erin led all commercial activities for Lepton Technologies, a company founded to commercialize breakthrough detection technology in infrared fiber sensing. Erin’s earlier career included engineering and product management leadership roles at AT&T Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, Agere Systems, and TriQuint Optoelectronics.
Erin holds a B.S. degree in Chemistry from the University of Rochester, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Inorganic Chemistry from Cornell University. She holds five US patents, has published over ten papers in journals including Science, and is the author of a book chapter on doping methods for InP devices.
